How To Knit: 3 Stitch I-Cord Edging
OH THANK YOU SO MUCH! I watched a few videos on this cast on and was so confused. I couldn't follow and get it to work. I was able to follow this one and I did it! Thank you! Thank you!
Ok I've found the beginning.. This was very helpful ❤
Didn't show how to even do the beginning...😢 The first chain...
I'm so stupid. I have a hard time learning through tutorials because I am so forgetful and become confused easily, so I've thought to just invent my own stitches. I (thought I'd) invented this stitch recently, and I was so proud, like, "well, that looks pretty, and it's easy, too!" 😂😅. It should be obvious to me that most ideas for stitches, especially for simple ones, already exist. I'm so glad I have a name for it, now, though.
Thank you for making this gentle practice for us all. I am so greatful and in need of these types of movements for my PTSD and somatic regulation. I to am trying to heal from loss, grief and painful life experiences as a result. My human journey has exposed me to a wide spectrum of emotions. I cry most days, but not for the life i have now, but for all the hurt i encountered at the hands of others during my life journey. Hurt that i buried deep deep down. I am beginning to release this trauma and learn to live a life of peace and love for the first time. It is hard. Being human is hard. Being a good human even harder. Dealing with abandonment is probably my biggest challenge. Baby steps. Learning to let the day die (even the moment sometimes) and start again with a new breath, focusing on my current life has been really crutial. Once i grasped the concept of corpse pose and to let emotions/ego/what should or shouldn't be, die and fall away to fertilise the earth where I lay, relaxing all the tension from my body, letting it all go. Breathing properly. Marrying passenger and vessel, releasing the forcefield and restriction around my heart space, i can begin to regain clarity from the whirlwind of thoughts that take over my head and body, which often sett me the wrong path in the past. But by simplifying and coming back to basics i can find my present path again. Finding a small spark of joy in the every day. Building on those sparks. Not chasing perceived happiness, but just seeking some comfort and growing with that. Remembering to be kind to myself, so i never mind being in my own company. Remembering the past is gone and that i am causing my own suffering by continually replaying everything over in my head. Yoga is definitely helping me to wring my body out and to see how beautiful life is when i seek to find beauty and not the pain. The trouble is i am so tender hearted and easily triggered into sadness if someone is horrible to me. These days i tend to spend most of my time with my husband and beautiful doggies, in the trees and by the water. Or tending my garden. Nature is so beautiful and healing and the trees are so wise, especially when you learn their language. Peace and love to this community and Adrienne who gives us the gift and teachings of how to face ourselves and show up for ourselves and strive to be at one with the universe. Namaste.
I struggle because it’s just so hard
Best instruction I have ever had, simple and straightforward, thank you so much.
i keep on loosening my loops , so sad here
Making this for my friend, ill update y'all to see how it goes :>
Help I keep getting stuck at 4:01
@@nezuko_zenestiu Did you figure it out?
Thank you! I got a book to learn how to knit but I had a hard time figuring how to so this.
The first knot that you made to begin your row has the little tail, can you just cut off the extra piece or what do you do with it ?
I do so many things. My parents can't even punish me anymore If she takes my electronics, i paint, crochet, calligraphy, knit, bake, read, draw, etc My brothers keep complaining , saying it's not fair cause i dont even care
How much wool?
Bonjour novice dans ce genre d'exercice on ne voit pas bien la façon dont vous brodez ; peut être serait il bon de zoomer davantage afin que l'on voit bien ce que vous faites. Bonne journée
every time i try to bring the yarn to the front or back to switch stitches, it always makes a new stitch. why is this happening?
Geez! what is going on in the world ? there was an announcement at the end of this video about having " ....sexy yarn .." now the yarn are turning out to be sexy as well? My goodness!
Hi, I am knitting a vest from W&TG booklet bought from John Lewis 'gimme more tank' I am on step 9 and the instruction is telling me to decrease and saying to knit 2[1:2:1] stitch(es). *Make a right leaning decrease* Repeat the section inside the * until you have 2[1:2:1] stich(es) left of your knit row, knit 2 [1:2:1] stitch(es) I don't know what the [1:2:1] means? Can anyone help? Do I just knit 2 all the way to the end of the row? or do I knit 2 then 1 then 2 then 1? Help from anyone would be greatly appreciated - this is my first vest and it is going so well and I don't want to mess it up. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this viedo
Excellent!
Where's the neck?😢
❤great! Thank you W and the G!❤
What size number
Size needle
Do you have any tips / advice for weaving in the ends in this stitch? I just finished an adorable baby blanket with this stitch, and want to weave in ends so they are the least visible. Thanks!
Lovely tutorial but the music is unbearable
Not a very pertinent comment, but I gotta say, the chapter’s name for the « moss stitch » is written « must itch »… I have to admit that made me laugh a lot, idk how it works to name those, but that made me giggle so much I had to go back and listen to the beginning of that part a second time 😅
It's a long time later in internet land, but these tutorials are still my go to tutorials when teaching people to crochet! They are so clear, not overwhelming, very well paced and the overhead shots with big yarn just make everything very easy to follow. Thank you so much for making these - they are helping people on the other side of the globe learn a whole new hobby ❤
Absolutely beautiful!!
Thank you for posting this. Once watched other videos and couldn't figure this out. But this actually makes sense. Now I can make some cool knife lanyards.
Thanks
If that is how you hold a small project, how do you hold a larger project? I have never seen anyone hold their project from underneath.
Well over all disappointed in written instructions and this tutorial bc nothing said about keeping your stitches lined up and more but I’m done
Omg...THANK YOU!!! I was riding the struggle bus until I watched this video.
Thank you ❤ your tutorial helps alot
What is the difference between 2 hdc and inc hdc?
It's the same. An increase is just two stitches made in the same space.
Thank you!!! I was trying to read written instructions for this and my dyslexic brain was melting trying to understand it! lol! Google brought me here and 5 seconds of this video and all the lights turned on!!! 😊 Also, for us crocheters…. It’s basically a Slip stitch! :)
Can you explain (hdc,inc,of hdc)
So to start, Do l start on the second stitch? Then at the beginning of next row, Do l start with 2 stitches?
Thank you for this video. Can you consider not using the music when you're recording? It really makes it hard on some of us with sensory issues. I'm not trying to be mean, but it really ruins tutorials. Again, thank you. It's a face this time.
Thank you!
Thank you! I’ve watched a few other videos and the steps weren’t clear enough for me to follow. I finally got it!
Doesn't say how to start at the beginning
anyone still struggling, Toni from TL Yarn Crafts has a way clearer video on this stitch: ruclips.net/video/gJ5f7zlaa8o/видео.html&ab_channel=TLYarnCrafts
Thank you so very much. Especially the dropped stitches and how to unravel. You made it so easy. Thank you 🙏🙏
Thank you!❤
Your going way to fast. I’m trying to learn how to cast stitches on but speeding the video up how can someone see how to do the stitch properly?? Smh! Not helpful AT ALL!!
I may be dyslexic, but it says to out the right needle in the spot and then you out the left one in?! 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
Yay! Something lovely and easy to follow, for me to try out tomorrow. Thank you so much 😊
Thank you it is not so difficult as it looks as when it is written out. You are a great teacher!
Lovely and clear and simple without being patronising. Thank you
Plz tell the length of blanket
